No objection to the final plans for the proposed ventilation control facility and two diversion sites for the Division J portion of the Northeast Boundary Tunnel of the DC Clean Rivers Project, as shown in materials received and dated 3 November 2014. This submission includes: the W Street Ventilation Control Facility; the R Street Diversion site; and the Mount Olivet Road Diversion site. The proposed W Street Ventilation Control Facility will be located at 1241 W Street, NE, in the D.C. Department of Public Works' Fleet Services Branch vehicle storage lot. The proposed work at the R Street site, located in a small triangular park at the intersection of 6th and R Streets and Rhode Island Avenue, NW, includes new underground construction, relocation of two traffic signal boxes, and restoration of the park lands. The proposed work at the Mount Olivet site, located on Mount Olivet Street, NE, in the southeastern corner of the existing compound of the D.C. No objection to the final design for the installation of an interim fire station on the existing outdoor basketball court adjacent to Quarters #28 at Fort McNair, as shown in materials received and dated 14 November 2014. It is understood that the temporary two-bay fabric-covered structure will be in place no more than five (5) years and will be removed once a new permanent fire station is constructed and that Quarters #28 will be used for interim living quarters for the fire station staff for the same period.
