Consent Calendar: CFA Meeting — 19 March 2020

No objection to the final design for the proposed installation of a satellite dish antenna on the roof of the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt located in the International Center, as shown in materials received and dated 5 March 2020. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office.

No objection to the final design for a 19-dock Capital Bikeshare station on the southeast corner of P Street, NW, and the Rock Creek and Potomac Parkway ramp, using the preferred design of bikes fully located off the sidewalk, per submission received 12 February 2020, PROVIDED that the bike pad is paved with brick to match the adjacent sidewalk. No objection to the final design for the installation of four relocatable visitor shelters with roofs of photovoltaic solar panels, as shown in materials received and dated 5 March 2020. For the initial installation, two shelters will be installed, one along the west side of the Custis Walk in Section 40 and the other on the south side Grant Drive in Section 2. In the near future, an additional two shelters will be installed, one on the north side of Patton Circle in Section 64 and the other on the south side of Wilson Drive north of the Memorial Amphitheater. The purpose of these shelters is to enhance visitor comfort and provide charging ports for electronic devices. Refer to the Virginia State Historic Preservation Office.

No objection to the proposed final designs for the renovation and modification of Buildings 46 and 67 at the Washington Navy Yard for the Navy's Operational Archives and Research Facility at the Washington Navy Yard, as shown in materials received and dated 5 March 2020. No objection to the proposed revisions and updates to the Master Plan for Francis Field, as shown in materials received and dated 4 March 2020. Updates are reflective of current conditions and are consistent with the intention of the original master plan that was reviewed and approved in January 2009, and with the park's landscape design that was reviewed and approved in September 2009.

No objection to the proposed final design for the installation of DC Walk of Fame bronze star medallions in the internal walkways on the grounds of Mount Vernon Square, as shown in materials received and dated 5 March 2020. The bronze stars are to honor residents of the District of Columbia who have made significant contributions to the city and have been recognized by the Washington DC Hall of Fame Society. The initial installation of 23 stars will represent the Hall of Fame Classes from 2000 to 2020. Additional bronze stars will be installed annually to recognize future Hall of Fame classes. No objection to the final design for the installation of The Sound Wave Art Park, an interactive sculpture by artist Davide Prete, in Reservation 337B, a triangle park in the Greenway Neighborhood, bounded by Minnesota Avenue, and 34th and D Streets, SE, as shown in materials received and dated 4 March 2020. This installation is a project of the Playable Art DC program of the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office.

No objection to the final design for the installation of Reading Room, an interactive sculpture by the SPORTS Collaborative, on a small grass area in public space southeast of the intersection of 5th and Kennedy Streets, NW, as shown in materials received and dated 4 March 2020. This installation is a project of the Playable Art DC program of the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office.

Recommend against the approval for the installation of a retractable awning, as shown in materials received and dated 6 March 2020, due insufficient information for review.
