Consent Calendar: CFA Meeting — 19 October 2023

No objection to the final design for the placement of a new stone marker commemorating the U.S. Merchant Marines at the World War II West Coast Memorial, per materials received 5 October 2023. Materials indicate that the new canted stone marker would be located in the planting area below the last panel of the U.S. Coast Guard Names of the Missing wall; the proposed stone would match the existing granite in color and finish.

No objection to the concept design for the renovation of Building 157 at the Washington Navy yard, which consists of interior renovation, building system upgrades and window replacement, per supplemental materials received 29 September 2023.

No objection to the final design for the installation of ornamental, black metal guardrails (option one of the construction drawings) on the north and south retaining walls of the Women in Military Service for America Memorial (also known as the Military Women’s Memorial), per materials received 29 September 2023.

No objection to the proposed installation of four temporary artworks along the Anacostia River Trail in Anacostia Park, as shown in materials received and dated 29 September 2023.

No objection to the final design for the installation of a wayfinding sign at the entrance to the WMATA Headquarters building, per materials received 5 October 2023. The proposed signs conform with the approved design for the new headquarters building (see case number CFA 20/JUN/19-2).

No objection to the final design for a new one-story brick enclosure for four new generators to be located on several existing parking spaces on the installation, per materials received 5 October 2023. These generators will primarily serve the nearby Sheridan Building.

No objection to the final design for the installation of a new landscape terrace at the Hill Center, per materials received 5 October 2023.
