Consent Calendar: CFA Meeting — 16 November 2023

No objection to the final design for the rehabilitation of the north clearwell at the McMillan Water Treatment Plant and Reservoir, per materials received 2 November 2023. Project scope includes rehabilitation of the north clearwell (an existing underground reservoir), which requires the rebuilding of the reservoir roof, currently an open field with two small historic outbuildings; these two buildings would be demolished and rebuilt in their current locations.

No objection to the concept design for alterations to fenestration at the Pentagon for security improvements, per materials received 2 November 2023. Scope of work includes replacement of 245 ground-level windows and 70 E-ring windows. Refer to Virginia Department of Historic Resources. Materials indicate that most of the existing windows are replacements from the 1990s and 2000s.

No objection to the proposed modification to existing rooftop cellular antenna arrays owned by Verizon on the Liberty Loan Federal Building, as shown in materials received 2 November 2023, PROVIDED all unused or obsolete telecommunication equipment is removed and new equipment is painted to match the color of the adjacent surfaces. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office.

No objection to the final design for a new entrance canopy and storefront at an existing office building occupied by the D.C. Department of Behavioral Health building, per materials received 2 November 2023.

No objection to the final design for a gymnasium addition and landscape improvements at the Browne Education Campus, per materials received 2 November 2023. Final design is consistent with the approved concept (CFA 21/SEP/23-p). Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office.
