No objection to the final design for alterations to exterior doors at the Pentagon for security improvements, per materials received 5 September 2024. Scope of work includes replacement of 108 exterior doors. Refer to Virginia Department of Historic Resources.

No objection to the final design for the construction of a new accessible walkway and the rehabilitation of the historic landscape, per materials received 5 September 2024. Scope of work also includes the installation of new iron gates; new bluestone-clad retaining walls; and the cleaning and repointing of historic masonry walls. Proposed trees and shrubs are consistent with Cultural Landscape Report recommendations. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office.

No objection to the final design for the installation of a Canopy Trail though the wooded ravine adjacent to the Washington Youth Garden on the grounds of the U.S. National Arboretum, as shown in materials received and dated 5 September 2024. This trail, accessed from a small building, consists of a series of linked bridges and platforms in the tree canopy that has limited ground disturbance. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office.

No objection to the final design for the installation of new signage for MOM's Organic Market, per supplemental materials received 18 September 2024, PROVIDED the two illuminated parking signs are a consistent color and fit within the light-brick band above the existing gooseneck lights; the "MOM's" logo on the sign over the parking entrance is altered to not crowd the primary "parking" text; and the window decals on Connecticut Avenue do not cover the entire window and exclude the business name. (Window decal application was originally submitted under case number SL 24-180).

No objection to the final design for renovations to floors 2 through 7 and the roof of Building 71, per materials received 5 September 2024. Scope of work includes replacement of existing glazing; replacement and addition of rooftop mechanical equipment and screening; and rooftop plantings for storm water management. File separate permit application for proposed solar panels, to be installed following a two-year growth period for the plantings, when ready.

No objection to the final design for the partial renovation of the building and landscape of Spingarn High School, per materials received 5 September 2024, which conforms with the previously approved concept design (CFA 19/JAN/23-2). Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office.

No objection to the concept design for a temporary modular campus to be constructed on the open field at John Burroughs Elementary School, per materials received 5 September 2024. Scope of work includes installation of 4 modular classroom buildings and a kitchen; a multi-use tent; 2 new play areas; bioretention plantings; and associated decks, ramps, and stairs.

No objection to the final design for the demolition of the existing 761' and 400' towers and the construction of a new 500' tower, per materials received 5 September 2024. Scope of work includes construction of a temporary parking lot on open lawn that is part of federally controlled Fort Circle Park. Forward to National Park Service.
