Consent Calendar: CFA Meeting — 16 April 2009

No objection to the final design for renovations, modifications, replacement windows, and landscape improvement to the Douglass Junior High School building for the KIPPDC Charter School, as shown in materials received and dated 2 April 2009. Submission conforms to previously approved concept design (see case number: CFA 20/NOV/08-d). Refer to the Historic Preservation Review Board.

No objection to the repaving of Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the White House, which includes the portion of the avenue, between the granite forecourts, and Madison and Jackson Places, with an interim paving material, as shown in materials received and dated 2 April 2009. It is noted that existing special pavement, installed in 2004, is failing and the rate of deterioration is increasing. The replacement paving material, consisting of beige/brown exposed aggregate of washed river rock with brown fines and a gray matrix to simulate the existing 'special rustic pavement,' would serve for approximately three years or until a more permanent material solution is reviewed and approved by the Commission.

No objection to the proposed final design to infill the existing garage space beneath the museum's south plaza with enclosed museum support and office space, which includes glass entrance vestibules on the east and west sides, and the reconfiguration the existing access driveways and associated vehicular parking areas, as shown in materials received and dated 2 April 2009.

No objection to the installation of building security cameras, as shown in materials received and dated 2 April 2009. Refer to the Historic Preservation Review Board.

No objection to the final plans for the construction of one additional deck of parking to the existing five-level parking structure W-405, as shown in materials received and dated 2 April 2009. Refer to the Historic Preservation Review Board.

No objection to the final plans for the modernization of Building W-200 including new windows and doors, provide an accessible entrance on the west elevation, and turning existing light wells into useable floor space, and new site work around building, as shown in materials received and dated 2 April 2009.
