No objections to the replacement of windows and curtain wall assemblies with new materials, configured to replicate the existing exterior configurations, to provide blast protection, as shown in materials received and dated 8 January 2009. In addition, the exterior windows and doors of the D Street lobby facade will be replaced with an interim configuration to provide blast protection until the proposed external security pavilion is constructed, as shown in materials received and dated 8 January 2009. No objection to proposed 8-ft high black vinyl coated chain link fence to enclose two outdoor storage areas at the Washington Canoe Club as shown in supplemental drawings dated 12 November 2008, which indicate section of fence in front of the building deleted for unobstructed view of facade from the river. Wood slats are not approved; fence to be screened by landscaping. File new submission for a more permanent solution for review by the Commission when ready.
