Consent Calendar: CFA Meeting — 17 July 2008

No objection to the final design for the construction of a new six-story building for the District of Columbia Consolidated Forensic Laboratory, as shown in materials received and dated 1 July 2008. Design conforms to previously approved concept (see case number CFA 15/MAY/08-6). Note: Any subsequent modifications to the approved design must be re-submitted to the Commission for approval.

No objection to the temporary installation of the sculptural group entitled 'Full Count,' by artist John Dreyfuss, on the north lawn of the William M. Martin Building for one year, as shown in materials received and dated 3 July 2008. Installation conforms to previously approved installations of the same sculpture group in 1990 and 2002 (see case number CFA 18/JUL/02-5).

No objection to the proposed concept design for the installation of new multi-use ball fields in Fort Reno Park with associated landscape improvements located north of the intersection of 40th and Chesapeake Streets, NW, as shown in materials received and dated 2 July 2008. File new submission of working drawings with details when ready.

No objection to the installation of a gazebo in the courtyard of Abrams Hall (Building 14) and to the installation of a garden shelter on the east lawn of Abram Hall, as shown materials received and dated 27 July 2008.

No objection to the issuance of a permit for the proposed red aluminum replacement overhead doors, as shown in materials received and dated 1 July 2008. (See case OG 08-237, HPA 08-356) Refer to the Historic Preservation Review Board.

No objection to the installation of a new SmartBike automated bicycle stand at either location, as shown in materials received and dated 12 June 2008.

No objection to the final design for the renovation, repair, and restoration of the historic Stable Building #236, as shown in materials received and dated 11 June 2008. Design conforms to previously approved projects for the adjacent similar Stable Buildings #233 and #234, and conforms to the approved Master Plan for Fort Myer (see case number CFA19/JUL/07-a). Note: Any subsequent modifications to the approved design must be re-submitted to the Commission for approval.
