The Commission regrets that the sign and awnings were installed prior to review or permit. No objection to issuance of permit for existing sign composed of pin mounted letters reading 'Puro Cafe' above entry door. Recommend first floor awnings be sized to fit within masonry opening and that brick around light fixture above menu box be repaired. Awnings on second floor windows were NOT approved and must be removed no later than 31 August 2010. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the exterior design made during DCRA technical review must be re-submitted to the Commission for approval prior to issuance of permit. Note that window on south dormer was replaced prior to review or permit, is inappropriate to the character of the historic building and must be returned to the original condition. File new permit application for replacement dormer window no later than 12 August 2010 deadline for review at the 2 September 2010 OGB meeting.
