No objection to issuance of permit for the proposed construction of a two-story Commerce Bank branch building as shown in supplemental drawings dated 12 March 2008 which indicate removal of glazing corner at north end of facade as a result of DCRA permit review process. No objection to proposed sign scheme composed of one back-lit sign mounted below second floor windows to right of entrance facing on Wisconsin Avenue, and one back-lit sign mounted at cornice level on south facade with letters no taller than 12-inches high reading 'Commerce Bank.' The roof top poles for cellular antennas were reviewed under separate permit application (see case OG 08-093). Working drawings conform to previously approved record drawings under cases OG 05-185 and OG 05-251. Note: Because the application is pending final zoning review, any subsequent modifications to the approved design must be re-submitted to the Commission for approval. Erect a materials sample panel on site, facing south, with the use of lighter color mortar, for review by the Commission prior to ordering materials.

Recommend quoins added on the north facade be deleted. Existing historic quoins will be restored to original condition. No objection to relocation of driveway gates or to new wood siding.
