No objection to issuance of permit for new 5'-0" tall metal fence with brick piers in public space along portions of Military Road, NW and 27th Street, NW, as shown in materials received and dated 3 April 2009 and supplemental materials received and dated 8 April 2009. Note: Because the application is pending final zoning and structural review, any subsequent modifications to the approved design must be re-submitted to the Commission for approval.

No objection to issuance of permit for replacement awnings and awning-mounted signage, as shown in materials received and dated 3 April 2009. Recommend AGAINST application of obscuring film to windows. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the approved design, including those made during DCRA technical review, must be resubmitted to the Commission for approval. Refer to Historic Preservation Review Board.

Project does not fall within the boundaries of the Shipstead-Luce Act or Old Georgetown Act and is not owned by the federal or District government; thus it is not subject to review by the Commission of Fine Arts. Returned with no action taken.
