In celebration of the establishment of the Commission of Fine Arts in 1910, the commission staff collaborated with the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C., to mount an exhibit on the history of the commission’s work in guiding the design of the national capital. The exhibit, “A Century of Design: The U.S. Commission of Fine Arts, 1920–2010,” included artifacts, photographs, and drawings from the commission’s collections and was presented by the National Building Museum in May–June 2010.
