The Commission regrets that the windows were replaced and the signs and menu box installed prior to review or permit. No objection to issuance of permit for proposed replacement windows with 1/1 insulated wood windows replicating wood mullion between paired windows on second floor PROVIDED single-hung windows with half screens are used to eliminate the jamb liner and track for upper sash. Recommend AGAINST issuance of permit for existing projecting sign and menu box which are not appropriate and must be removed no later than 31 May 2011. Corrective work for windows must be completed no later than 31 May 2011. Recommend smaller menu box be attached to security grill on door at top of stairs. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the exterior design made during DCRA technical review must be re-submitted to the Commission for approval prior to issuance of permit.
