Recommendation

No objection to concept design for proposed alterations to canopy including replacement of corrugated metal roof and wood soffit on historic metal brackets; removal of light fixtures, corner stand, and railing; replacement siding at north elevation; replacement woven fabric awning with 12 inch valance; and new rooftop mechanical equipment with screens per supplemental drawings received 19 July 2016 which indicate vertical light gray metal louver screens. Proposed exterior light fixtures were not approved and were deleted from the drawings. File new submission at DCRA of working drawings, with dimensioned architectural details, with permit application for review by the Commission.
