Dear Mr. Hunter:
The staff of the Commission of Fine Arts has reviewed the final submission for new the renovations and additions to the building and landscape at the Neval Thomas Elementary School at 650 Anacostia Avenue, NE. The staff has determined that the design conforms with the previous recommendations of the Commission and has no objections to the final design for this project.
With the authority delegated by the Commission at its meeting of 16 May 2024, we approve the final plans for the project, as documented in the materials received 13 September 2024, which addresses access to the amphitheater, modifies the gymnasium elevations, and details the ashlar stone walls. As always, the staff is available to assist you with future submissions.
