Recommend AGAINST the issuance of a permit for the expansion of a previously approved sidewalk seating area to extend in front of an adjacent vacant retail space at an existing office building for Immigrant Food, as shown in materials received and dated 6 February 2026, due to opposition by the building owner and inconsistency with DDOT public space regulations. Staff notes with regret that the seating area expansion was installed without CFA review and without a permit. Refer to DC Public Space Committee.
