No objection to the concept plans for the renovation and additions to the Anacostia Senior High School, as shown in materials received and dated 1 April 2010, provided there is additional study of the scale, form, and detailing of the proposed equipment enclosure on the roof of the gymnasium wing. The project includes the removal of the 1970s north building, replacement windows, a new two-story connector between building parts C and E, new mechanical equipment, new landscaping, a new vehicle parking area, and modifications to improve accessibility. Submit final design with a set of the construction drawings including details, dimensions, and selected materials for review by the Commission when ready. Refer to the DC Historic Preservation Review Board.
