Letter
Dear Mr. Hunter:
In its public meeting of 20 June conducted by videoconference, the Commission of Fine Arts approved, based on its prior review of the submission materials, the concept design for renovations and additions to Ludlow-Taylor Elementary School, a three-story brick and precast concrete building located at 659 G Street, NE, in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. In its approval action, the Commission recommended that as the design is advanced, the project team consider studying the possibility of retaining as many windows as possible on the west facade of the existing building to maximize daylight within the classrooms.
Please continue consulting on the development of this important project with the staff which, as always, is available to assist you.
Sincerely,
/s/Thomas E. Luebke, FAIA
