Recommendation

The Commission regrets that the wood siding was removed prior to review or permit. No objection to general concept design for one-story rear addition at second floor level, replacement roof deck at rear, replacement of termite-damaged wood siding to match original wood siding on front facade and for repair of existing historic windows on front and side facades as shown in supplemental drawings dated 22 May 2008. Recommend further study of a door surround that is historically appropriate rather than existing door surround. File new submission of working drawings, including details and dimensions, with permit application before 14 August 2008 deadline for review at the Old Georgetown Board meeting of 4 September 2008.
