Recommendation

The Commission regrets that the installation of bluestone coping on top of a historic sandstone curb was initiated prior to review or permit. Recommend against issuance of permit as the makeshift alteration to the historic curb is not appropriate to the character of the historic building and the immediate context. Applicant agreed to remove new coping and turn sandstone pieces to expose face that is not damaged. Recommend the installation of planting landscape materials that hold the soil in place.
