The Commission regrets that vinyl windows on front facade were installed prior to review or permit. Vinyl windows are not consistent with the original character of this building or the Old Georgetown historic district in general because the material and profiles are not consistent with the historic wood detailing. No objection to issuance of permit for proposed replacement of existing vinyl windows with all-wood single-glazed single-hung windows with no screens as shown in supplemental drawings dated 22 August 2013. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the approved design made during DCRA Technical Review must be resubmitted to the Commission for the approval prior to issuance of permit.
