Recommendation
No objection to the issuance of a permit for the renovation and modification of an existing house, including the installation of replacement roofs, wood doors, and wood windows, the installation of new metal railings, the construction of a new deck and basement access stair and areaway in the rear yard, and the installation of a new wood fence and gate in the side yard, as shown in materials received and dated 4 September 2015 and supplemental materials received and dated 11 September 2015 and 17 September 2015, PROVIDED that the three existing vinyl windows on the front facade at the second floor be replaced with wood windows to match the rest of the existing windows. Recommend that the replacement roofing material of the upper roof and dormers be slate rather than asphalt shingle. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the approved design, including those made during DCRA technical review, must be resubmitted to the Commission for approval.
