Recommendation
No objection to the issuance of a permit for modifications to the Corcoran Gallery, including the construction of a new stair in an interior courtyard and the installation of new bicycle racks, as well as other minor code-required interior and exterior modifications, as shown in materials received and dated 4 March 2016. Scope of work under review does NOT include a proposed new entrance ramp and modifications to an existing areaway at the New York Avenue entrance to the building, which will be forwarded for review in a future month. Scope of work under review also does NOT include exterior signage, which will be forwarded for review in a future month. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the approved design, including those made during DCRA technical review, must be resubmitted to the Commission for approval.
