Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Tribe: Obverse #1, due to the depiction of the code talker receiving information without an emphasis on a firearm as rendered in the other alternatives, but recommend that the fronds in the upper background be incorporated into the border to complete the circular feature. Reverse #1, as the simplest and clearest composition of the alternatives.

No objection to the concept design for a new soil, sand, and salt storage facility at the existing maintenance complex on Patton Drive, as shown in materials received and dated 4 September 2014. The design conforms with the plans and materials of the previously approved additions to the maintenance complex (see CFA 17/OCT/02-4).

No objection to the proposed installation of replacement handrails on the exterior stairs and other access improvement to the Internal Revenue Service headquarters building, as shown in materials received and dated 5 September 2014.

No objection to the proposed demolition of a temporary structure and the forecourt of the old War Department building (now a part of the the Harry S Truman Building), as shown in materials received and dated 5 September 2014. Proposal conforms with the previously approved design for the construction of the United States Diplomacy Center (see CFA 15/SEP/11-4). (Submitted under case number SL 14-155.)

No objection to the proposed building and site alterations to the former Intelsat Headquarters building at 4000 Connecticut Avenue, NW, as shown in materials received and dated 8 September 2014. Revisions conform to the Commission's recommendations from the previous review.

No objection to the final design for the Poplar Point Pumping Station, as shown in materials received and dated 5 September 2014. Design conforms to the recommendations the Commission made during the concept review.

No objection to the concept design for the construction of a small pocket park with kinetic energy generating sidewalk pavers on two traffic islands south of Dupont Circle at the Connecticut Avenue intersection, as shown in materials received and dated 5 September 2014. No objection to the final plans for the proposed renovation of the auditorium at the former Bertie Backus Junior High School for the Community College of the District of Columbia, as shown in materials received and dated 27 August 2014. No objection to the final plans for a temporary FEMS Engine Company #1 West End Firehouse to be placed in the north yard of the Stevens School, as shown in materials received and dated 4 September 2014. The temporary structure will be removed once the replacement West End Firehouse, located at 23rd and M Streets, NW in Square 50, is completed (see CFA 16/MAY/13-3). No objection to the final design for a new retaining wall for the soccer field at the new Barry Farm Recreation Center at 1230 Sumner Road, SE, as shown in materials received and dated 5 September 2014.
