No objection to the final design for repairs to the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal, including the rehabilitation and reconstruction of select sections of the masonry canal walls, the replacement of the lower gates at Lock 1 with inoperable gates fixed in the open position, and the rehabilitation of the upper gates at Lock 1, but fixed in the open position, per materials received 11 August 2022, which indicate the lock gates at Lock 2 will remain. No objection to the concept design for the construction of a new accessible walkway and the rehabilitation of the historic landscape, per materials received 1 September 2022. Scope of work also includes the installation of new iron gates; new bluestone-clad retaining walls; and the cleaning and repointing of historic masonry walls. No objection to the final design for the renovation and rehabilitation of the historic Commandant's House (Quarters 6) at Marine Barracks Washington, per materials received 9 August 2022. Scope of work includes in-kind replacement of windows and roof; rehabilitation of sandstone front steps; installation of new piping and electrical lines; and the creation of a bioretention basin. No objection to the final design for the installation of an autonomous surveillance tower at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, per materials received 1 September 2022.

No objection to the final design for modifications to existing penthouse- and roof-mounted cellular antenna arrays, per materials received 1 September 2022. Scope of work includes removal of 4 existing antennas and installation of 9 new antennas; replacement of 9 existing amplifiers with 6 remote radio heads; installation of 3 cabinets to the existing platform; and new cabling and electrical support equipment. All antennas would be painted to match the building facade. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office.
