No objection to the revised final design for temporary access ramps to the main chamber of the Lincoln Memorial as shown in Alternative 2, per materials received 29 August 2023. Alternative 2 shows a ramp of 554', with a total path of travel of 694', which is 15' shorter than Alternative 1. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office.

No objection to the concept design for the placement of a new stone marker commemorating the U.S. Merchant Marines at the World War II West Coast Memorial, per materials received 7 September 2023. Materials indicate that the new canted stone marker would be located in the planting area below the last panel of the U.S. Coast Guard Names of the Missing wall; the proposed stone would match the existing granite in color and finish.

No objection to the final design for a new pedestrian and bicycle bridge over the Anacostia River, connecting the U.S. National Arboretum to the existing trail in Anacostia Park, per materials received 31 August 2023. Final design conforms with the previously approved concept design and recommendations of the Commission. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office.

No objection to the final design for modifications to the Kudu and Hornbill Yard (Africa Trail) exhibit, per materials received 6 September 2023. Scope of work includes expansion of the holding yard containment fencing, removal and replacement existing trees, grading to improve site drainage, upgrades to the existing kudu Barn, and a new hornbill holding enclosure and shed. The existing kudu barn and yard are considered non-contributing resources to the National Zoological Park Historic District.

No objection to the final design for Resilience Plaza -- a new landscape design featuring artifacts from the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon to be located on the south landscape of the Center Building on the St. Elizabeths West Campus, the headquarters of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, per materials received 7 September 2023. Final design conforms with the previously approved concept design and recommendations of the Commission.

No objection to the final design for the construction of a new egress door within an existing window opening at the rear parking lot, per materials received 6 September 2023. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office.

No objection to the final design for the replacement of two existing monument signs at the building's F Street entrance and the addition of a new building identification sign near the corner of F and 5th Streets, NW, per materials received 6 September 2023. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office.

No objection to the final design for the renovation of barracks (Building 250) on Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, per materials received 7 September 2023. Scope of work includes: repairs to the roof, existing pavement, windows and doors, stairs and handrails, and column wraps. Surface grading and filling around the perimeter of the building would also be conducted to remediate water pooling and infiltration of water into the building. No objection to the final design for the demolition of an existing 500,000-gallon, 85-foot-tall steel water tower constructed in 1968, per materials received 7 September 2023. The water tower was never put into service and is considered a non-contributing resource to the Fort Myer Historic District. Refer to Virginia Department of Historic Resources.

No objection to the final design for the proposed renovation and landscape improvements to the New Jersey Avenue and O Street Park, NW, as shown in materials received 21 August 2023. Final design conforms with the previously approved concept design. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office.

No objection to the final design for the installation of interpretive signage at Walter Pierce Park, per materials received 4 September 2023. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office.

No objection to the concept design for the renovation and modifications to the existing Duke Ellington Track and Field Park, per materials received 9 September 2023. Scope of work includes replacement of the existing natural grass athletic field, renovation of the existing field houses, and enlargement of the track. Project also includes a new sand volleyball court, pickleball court park, erosion controls, and new lighting. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office.

No objection to the final design for the proposed installation of fencing and netting at Jellef Recreation Center, per materials received 7 July 2023.

No objection to the final design for a new three-story addition and associated sitework at Alice Deal Middle School, per materials received 7 September 2023. Materials indicate that the external covered walkway has been eliminated and replaced with an internal corridor.
