Menominee Nation: Obverse #3, due to the sense of movement, the near profile pose, and the clear composition, but recommend that the background foliage be simplified or deleted. Reverse #6, as the simplest and clearest composition of the alternatives.

No objection to the final plans for the restoration and repair of the south facade of the Blair House and for the replacement of the non-historic windows as shown in materials received and dated 7 November 2013. A mockup, on site, of the final color selections will be provided for review by staff.

No objection to the proposed final design for a public art installation that consists of four panels fitted into the storefront window system that faces the adjacent Metro Station on 2nd Street, NE, as shown in materials received and dated 17 October 2013. The four art panels will be made of porcelain-finished metal with graphics that illustrate the history of the local communities. The design conforms to a previously approved submission.

No objection to the final design for the rehabilitation of five exterior stairs in the center courtyard of the Pentagon, including the replacement of the handrails and guardrails, as shown in materials received and dated 23 October 2013.

No objection to the final design for the installation of a sheet metal flashing cap on the exterior cornice, as shown in materials received and dated 6 November 2013.

No objection to the proposed concept design for the Tunnel Dewatering Pump Station and Enhanced Clarification Facility on the grounds the Blue Plains Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant, as shown in materials received and dated 7 November 2013.

No objection to the proposed final plans for a new Low Head Pump Station and a Transfer Pump Station on the grounds of the Blue Plans Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant to support the Tunnel Dewatering Pump Station and Enhanced Clarification Facility (see case number CFA 21/NOV/13-f), as shown in materials received and dated 7 November 2013, provided a final set of construction drawings for the pump stations is submitted when ready.

No objection to the concept design for the addition of a new gymnasium wing as shown in materials received and dated 7 November 2013. Recommend continued development of the detailing of the projecting windows on the north and west elevations of the gymnasium.

No objection to the concept design for proposed renovation of Rose Park at the edge of the Old Georgetown historic district and adjacent to the Rock Creek park system, including re-surfacing courts, ADA ramp, and playground equipment, as shown in materials received and dated 13 November 2013. Recommend using natural materials in the playground. Submit developed landscape plan and details for ADA ramp for review by the Old Georgetown Board.

No objection to proposed paving of residential alley off R Street, NW in the Old Georgetown historic district using gray PCC on vehicular alley and red brick pavers on pedestrian alley, as shown in materials received and dated 13 November 2013. Recommend adding tinting to darken concrete.

Project approved by delegation. See letter dated 30 September 2013. Final design conforms with the previous recommendations of the Commission.
