The Commission regrets that work was installed not conforming to approved design, and additional signs, light fixtures and menu box were installed prior to review or permit. Recommend AGAINST issuance of permit for existing menu box, gooseneck and spot light fixtures, and menu sign on projecting bracket all of which are not appropriate to the historic building or the historic district. Recommend small menu box be placed behind the glass on bay window and that light fixtures previously approved be installed (see case file under OG 10-040). Non-conforming lights, menu box and signs must be removed no later than 31 May 2011. Replacement window installed on first floor of bay was not sized correctly and must be replaced with the correct window as previously approved no later than 31 August 2011. Existing windows on second floor are the responsibility of tenant at 1073 Wisconsin Ave. NW and were addressed under separate permit application (see case file under OG 11-018).

Existing wall mounted image logo above sign, illuminated sign in window, sandwich sign and seasonal decorations were not approved and must be removed no later than 31 May 2011. Recommend further study of etching of logo on glass on entry door.
