Recommend AGAINST the issuance of a permit for the installation of three additional cellular panel antennas and three remote radio heads on existing sled bases for T-Mobile, as shown in materials received and dated 5 September 2014. Previous recommendation of no objection to the permit was conditional upon screening being provided for the antennas facing Sixteenth Street, and the permit application has been inactive since September 2014 awaiting revised drawings showing this screening. Forward a new and completely documented submission, including screening for the antennas facing Sixteenth Street, when ready.

Recommend AGAINST the issuance of a permit for the installation of three replacement panel antennas at an existing rooftop facility for T-Mobile, as shown in materials received and dated 7 October 2016. Previous recommendation of no objection to the permit was conditional upon screening being provided for the antennas facing Sixteenth Street, and the permit application has been inactive since October 2016 awaiting revised drawings showing this screening. Forward a new and completely documented submission, including screening for the antennas facing Sixteenth Street, when ready.

Returned without action. Permit submission for the installation of insert vinyl-clad replacement windows in the front facade of an existing house, as shown in materials received and dated 3 November 2017 and supplemental materials received and dated 18 May 2018, was withdrawn at the request of the applicant. Recommend AGAINST the issuance of a permit for the installation of twelve (12) replacement panel antennas on the roof of an existing building for Verizon Wireless, as shown in materials received and dated 3 November 2017. Permit application has been inactive since November 2017 awaiting revised drawings showing the relocation of the existing and proposed gamma sector antennas facing Sixteenth Street, as well as the screen in front of them, to be less visible from Rock Creek Park. Forward a new and completely documented submission, including the relocation of the gamma sector antennas, when ready.

Returned without action. Permit submission for the installation of new security bollards in public space and for the installation of two wall-mounted signs with internally illuminated logos for NBC, as shown in materials received and dated 6 July 2018, was withdrawn at the request of the applicant. No objection to the issuance of a permit for the installation of two replacement panel antennas for AT&T within existing enclosures and for the installation of one additional replacement panel antenna and two remote radio heads at an existing rooftop cellular facility, as shown in materials received and dated 7 September 2018 and supplemental materials received and dated 8 May 2019 and 16 May 2019. Permit submission for the installation of a monument sign in public space for the Korean Cultural Center, as shown in materials received and dated 28 January 2019, was withdrawn at the request of the applicant. Recommend AGAINST the concept for a monument sign in public space for C-SPAN, as shown in materials received and dated 8 February 2019. Forward a new submission for a building-mounted sign that conforms with the DC sign regulations for the Shipstead-Luce Act area when ready. Refer to DC Public Space Committee.

No objection to the issuance of a permit for modifications to the site of an existing house, including new boulder walls, steps, and plantings, as shown in materials received and dated 8 February 2019 and supplemental materials received and dated 6 March 2019 and supplemental materials received and dated 20 March 2019, pending the receipt of supplemental materials. No objection to the issuance of a permit for the installation of one non-illuminated sign for SunTrust Bank, as shown in materials received and dated 8 March 2019. No objection to the issuance of a permit for the renovation of an existing house, as shown in materials received and dated 8 March 2019 and supplemental materials received and dated 3 April 2019, 12 August 2019, and 13 November 2019. Scope of work does not include sitework or window replacements. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the approved design, including those made during DCRA technical review, must be resubmitted to the Commission for approval.

No objection to the concept for a rooftop addition to an existing row house, as shown in materials received and dated 8 March 2019 and supplemental materials received and dated 15 March 2019 and 19 March 2019, pending the receipt of supplemental materials. No objection to the issuance of a permit for concrete repairs to an existing building, and for the application of a new coating (BASF MasterProtect EL 750 in Incredible White SW 7028) to the building facades, as shown in materials received and dated 8 March 2019 and supplemental materials received and dated 13 March 2019, 15 March 2019, and 20 March 2019. Recommend coordination with the Watergate Hotel to recoat the entire length of the two penthouse walls that intersect the property line. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office. No objection to the concept for two signs for Met Cafe The Venue at the entrances to the restaurant, and for the application of gradated window film to the storefront enclosure of the restaurant, as shown in materials received and dated 8 March 2019, PROVIDED that the sign at the secondary entrance be smaller, and pending the receipt of supplemental materials. Recommend AGAINST the concept for one additional sign for the restaurant at a location not associated with an entrance. Note: This is a concept approval only. When ready, submit the permit drawings and a permit application to DCRA for review by the Commission.

No objection to the issuance of a permit for the installation of nine replacement panel antennas, three replacement remote radio heads, and 15 new remote radio heads for T-Mobile at an existing rooftop cellular facility, as shown in materials received and dated 8 March 2018, PROVIDED that the tops of the replacement antennas extend no higher than the coping of the penthouse screening wall, PROVIDED that the antennas and support structures to be mounted to the penthouse wall be painted to match the wall behind, pending further consultation on the mounting location and design for the replacement antenna in the Alpha sector, and pending the receipt of supplemental materials.
