D.C.’s Central Public Library on Mount Vernon Square was completed in 1903 as a Carnegie Library in a Beaux-Arts design by Ackerman & Ross. This proposal for its renovation and expansion by MGA Partners for use by the Spy Museum, the Historical Society of Washington, DC, and Events DC was initially approved by the CFA in November 2013, but the project has since been cancelled.
