Letter
Dear Mr. Ryder:
In its public meeting of 18 June conducted by videoconference, with the advice of its subcommittee on submissions from the United States Mint, the Commission of Fine Arts reviewed alternative designs for a bronze medal honoring Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin, and provided the following recommendations.
Consistent with the preferences of Secretary Mnuchin, the Commission members recommended obverse #3 and reverse #3, commenting that the portrait in obverse #3 has the best likeness of the secretary, and recommending that the flag above the Treasury Department building in reverse #3 be revised so that it flies toward the right side of the composition.
As always, the staff is available to assist you with future submissions.
Sincerely,
/s/Thomas E. Luebke, FAIA
Secretary
David Ryder, Director
