Consent Calendar: CFA Meeting — 18 June 2020

No objection to the final design for the installation of a new pedestrian crosswalk on Memorial Avenue at the main entrance to the cemetery's visitor Welcome Center, as shown in materials received and dated 3 June 2020. The existing crosswalk adjacent to the vehicular entrance to the cemetery's public parking facility at the Welcome Center will be be decommissioned and the western security checkpoint will be relocated further to the west to avoid vehicle-pedestrian conflicts. No objection to the design for the temporary Mobile Operations Center, comprised of three existing adjoined mobile office facility units, installed to the west of the existing Administration Building, as shown in materials received and dated 27 May 2020. This temporary facility was approved and installed for swing office space during the renovation of the Administration Building (see case number: CFA 20/SEP/17-c), but will stay in place and continue to function as temporary office space to house staff associated with the Cemetery's Southern Expansion Project and other cemetery functions for the next eight years. No objection to the final plans for the installation of an accessibility ramp and other improvements at the southwest (river side) entrance to the National Park Service National Capital Area Office, as shown in materials received and dated 4 June 2020.

No objection to temporary stabilization of a portion of the southern prism wall of the C&O Canal National Historic Park, located north of Grace Street NW between Wisconsin Avenue and Cecil Place NW, per supplemental materials received 27 May 2020. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office.

No objection to the revised final design for a new building identification sign, featuring 15 inch-tall bronze-colored letters, above the southeast revolving door entrance to the Hirshhorn Museum, as shown in materials received and dated 4 June 2020.

No objection to the final design for modifications to install accessible ramps in the building courtyard of the Howard T. Markey National Courts Building, as shown in materials received and dated 4 June 2020. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office.

No objection to the final plans for the installation of six 12-feet tall Washington Globe style light poles and 15 mini-LED lighting fixtures to be mounted on the metal fence to illuminate the east building yard of the Main Pumping Station, and the installation of a new brick-based prefabricated guard booth at the northeast entrance drive, as shown in materials received and dated 3 June 2020. The three existing cobra-head light poles and the existing temporary guard booth will be removed from the building's east grounds. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office.

No objection to the final design for the temporary installation of a modular classroom and covered walkways at the Oyster Elementary School, as shown in materials received and dated 28 May 2020. It is understood that the temporary facility will be in place approximately two years and removed when the DC Public Schools finishes using it as a swing space. No objection to the final design for the temporary installation of a modular classroom and covered walkways at the Francis Stevens Education Campus (School Without Walls at Francis Stevens), as shown in materials received and dated 28 May 2020. It is understood that the temporary facility will be in place approximately two years and removed when the DC Public Schools finishes using it as a swing space. No objection to the final plans for the temporary installation of a kitchen trailer, multi-purpose "bubble" tent, modular toilet, accessible walkways, playgrounds, and security fencing to create swing space while Smothers Elementary School and other schools in Ward 7 are being modernized, as shown in materials received and dated 7 May 2020.
