In its public meeting of 18 June conducted by videoconference, the Commission of Fine Arts approved, based on its prior review of the submission materials, the final design for a new visitor center building at the Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten near Maastricht. In its approval action, the Commission requested that a set of building material samples for the project be submitted to the staff as part of the final review process.

The Commission expressed appreciation for the project team’s responsiveness to its previous guidance and for the clear and well-organized submission materials. Please coordinate the material selections with the staff which, as always, is available to assist you.
