Recommendation

No objection to the concept design for the installation of a public art work, by artist Shaunte Gates, on the east facade above the main entrance to the new Benjamin Banneker Academic High School, which utilizes circular perforations in a flat metal panel to create an image of Benjamin Banneker, as shown in materials received and dated 5 November 2020. This art installation has been commissioned as part of the District of Columbia's "Percent for Art" program and is consistent with the approved design for the new high school building.
