No objection to issuance of permit for proposed replacement of rear fence with a 7-ft high vertical board fence and gate with a flat top as shown in supplemental drawings dated 22 August 2011 PROVIDED finished side faces the alley and supports for the fence and gate are not visible from public thoroughfare. Fence must be painted or stained. Recommend removal of lattice screen on deck which is not appropriate to the character of the historic district. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the exterior design made during DCRA technical review must be re-submitted to the Commission for approval prior to issuance of permit.
