No objection to the brick selected for the replacement knee walls (as shown in photograph of the material sample wall), but recommend that the mortar joints match the dimensional width and color of the building's existing brick walls. File new submission of working drawings for mechanical vault, including dimensions and details of surface grate, with permit application for review by the Commission. No objection to the final design for site modifications along S Street as first phase of a modernization project for Garrison Elementary School, as shown in materials received and dated 7 July 2016. The first phase of the project includes a new main entry stair, accessible walks, seating areas, bio-retention areas, and new plantings. It is understood that the second phase of the school modernization project will be submitted later this year.

No objection to the final design for the temporary installation of a fenced playground at MacFarland Middle School, as shown in materials received and dated 13 July 2016. A portion of the MacFarland School will serve as a temporary space for Marie Reed Learning Center, while the Center is undergoing rehabilitation. It is understood that the temporary playground will be removed and the MacFarland School grounds restored to good condition once the Marie Reed Learning Center project is completed.
