No objection to the issuance of a permit for the construction of a new rooftop cellular installation for T-Mobile, including two new sectors to be mounted to an existing mechanical screen wall and one new sled-mounted sector, as well as a stealth screen wall at Sector 2, as shown in materials received and dated 8 July 2022 and supplemental materials received and dated 25 August 2022, PROVIDED that the wall-mounted antennas and mounting structures be installed no higher than one foot below the top of the wall behind, PROVIDED that the wall-mounted antennas and their support structures in Sector 1 be painted to match the wall behind, and PROVIDED that the stealth screen wall in Sector 2 exactly match the penthouse wall in color, texture, and detail. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the approved design, including those made during DCRA technical review, must be resubmitted to the Commission for approval.

No objection to the issuance of a permit for the installation of six replacement panel antennas, six replacement remote radio heads, three new panel antennas, and three new remote radio heads for Verizon Wireless at an existing rooftop cellular installation, as shown in materials received and dated 2 September 2022, PROVIDED that the antennas be mounted no higher than the existing antennas to be replaced, and PROVIDED that the wall-mounted antennas and their support structures be painted to match the wall behind. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the approved design, including those made during DCRA technical review, must be resubmitted to the Commission for approval.

No objection to the issuance of a permit for the installation of eleven replacement panel antennas and nine replacement radio head antennas for Verizon Wireless on the penthouse of an existing building, as shown in materials received and dated 2 September 2022, PROVIDED that the antennas and supports be painted to match the color of the penthouse wall, PROVIDED that the relocated antennas be mounted no higher than the existing antennas, PROVIDED that the relocated antennas on the north and east facades be mounted as tight to the penthouse wall and as far from the northeast corner of the penthouse as possible. No objection to the concept for new operable storefront doors and new patio seating and planters at a third floor terrace for a restaurant tenant at an existing building under construction, as shown in materials received and dated 2 September 2022. Recommend AGAINST the concept for a new pergola with operable louvers at the third floor terrace, due to its incompatibility with the design of the building, and for signs on all four facades, as shown in materials received and dated 2 September 2022. Forward a new submission for signs that comply with the regulations for the Shipstead-Luce Act area when ready. Staff notes with regret that the base building permit was issued without referral for CFA review; permit applications at the District Wharf, including all water side buildings, require CFA review. Note: This is a concept approval only. When ready, submit the permit drawings and a permit application to DCRA for review by the Commission.

No objection to the issuance of a permit for the installation of one new and one replacement sign, both halo-illuminated, on an existing building for AppleTree Early Learning Public Charter School, as shown in materials received and dated 2 September 2022 and supplemental materials received and dated 28 September 2022.
